Cádiz and Jerez Coach Hire for Groups
Groups staying in Cádiz usually spend part of their time in Jerez and the sherry towns, so the coach covers both. The one open question is the old town of Cádiz itself, where a new low-emission zone is still bedding in.
The old-town zone, now and in 2027
Cádiz's low-emission zone has been in force since late May 2026; a six-month trial period runs before anyone is fined. It covers the old town, not the ring road around it, and part of the Paseo Marítimo. For vehicles registered elsewhere, 2026 requires at least a C label (or ECO, or zero), and 2027 drops the C.
A diesel coach can carry the C label at most. How the ordinance treats tourist coaches has not been confirmed, so do not count on driving into the old town in 2027. Ask the operator to check that specific coach against the rule.

Visiting the old town
No official coach set-down points or coach parks are published for the old town. The operator agrees the stopping place with the city at booking. From there it is all walking: La Caleta beach between its two forts, the Torre Tavira and its camera obscura at the town's highest point, the Roman theatre in the Pópulo quarter, and the cathedral facing the sea.

- Seville Airport (SVQ)
Stadiums and arenas a coach can reach
- Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla — Cádiz CF football; formerly the Estadio Ramón de Carranza; also known by a sponsor name

Coach access and parking rules in Cádiz
- Jerez airport (XRY) is about 44 km by road from Cádiz cathedral, about 55 min by coach in light traffic. Sevilla airport (SVQ) is about 132 km (about 2 h).
- Cádiz is also a cruise port (Puerto de Cádiz, by the old town); it is not one of the four cruise ports covered on this site.
- Low-emission zone (ZBE): the ordinance was published in the provincial gazette and took effect at the end of May 2026, with a six-month trial period before enforcement. It covers the old town (not the ring road around it) and part of the Paseo Marítimo.
- ZBE access: vehicles registered for tax in Cádiz may enter whatever their label. Vehicles from elsewhere need the C, ECO or zero-emission label in 2026, and only ECO or zero-emission from 2027. Driving to a public car park is not sanctioned, and the ordinance has lists of authorised vehicles for some services. How tourist coaches are treated was not confirmed: the operator checks access for the vehicle booked.
- Jerez: the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto hosts world-championship motorcycle racing; on race weekends roads, hotels and coach parking around Jerez are under heavy demand.
- No official coach set-down points or coach parks were found for the old town of Cádiz: the operator confirms the stopping point with the city when booking.
Jerez and the sherry triangle
Jerez de la Frontera, some 35 minutes away, has the Alcázar, the bodegas and the royal equestrian school. Allow half an hour for El Puerto de Santa María and an hour for Sanlúcar de Barrameda, home of manzanilla. A bodega day suits a coach well, as no one in the group has to drive.
When world-championship motorcycle racing comes to the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto, expect full hotels, busy roads and scarce coach parking around Jerez. Book early or choose another weekend.
Airports and longer days
Jerez airport is the closest: about 44 km from the cathedral, around 55 minutes. Its tourist-coach park sits next to the terminal, reached from Arrivals. Sevilla airport is about 132 km, about 2 h. Inland, Medina Sidonia is 55 minutes, Vejer and Arcos about 1 h 5 min, Tarifa 1 h 40 min and Ronda about 2 h 30 min.
What organisers ask us
Can the coach drive into the old town of Cádiz?
That is not confirmed. The zone's treatment of tourist coaches is unclear, and the label rule tightens in 2027. The operator checks with the city and agrees a stopping point outside if needed.
Is the cruise port in Cádiz covered?
Cádiz has a cruise port by the old town, but this site has no page for it. Give the ship, the date and the times in your request and the operator works from those.
When is the Cádiz Carnival?
Every February. The dates change each year, so check them before fixing a trip, and expect a busy old town that week.
