Valencia Airport coach transfers: a short run with gaps to fill

Valencia Airport is close to town, so the drive is the easy part. The planning goes into what is not published: where the coach stops at Manises, and what the city's low-emission rules mean for the vehicle you book.

Set the meeting point yourself

Aena publishes no coach pick-up point or waiting area here. There is one main passenger terminal with a regional-flights building beside it, so tell the operator which building the group exits and agree where the coach will stop. The express car park has a limited free time and is meant for cars.

For a split arrival, Metrovalencia lines 3 and 5 leave from the ground floor of the regional-flights building. Stragglers on a late flight can follow by metro to the hotel while the coach leaves with the main group.

Into the city

The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is about 10 km away, roughly 15 minutes on a clear road. Valencia must have a low-emission zone by national law, but its current rules for coaches and foreign-registered vehicles could not be confirmed from an official page. The operator checks what applies to the coach booked. Ciutat Vella has restricted traffic, so the coach sets down at its edge.

Where the group boards the coach

  • Aena does not publish a pick-up point or a waiting area for discretionary coaches at Valencia. Agree the meeting point and where the coach will stop with the operator when booking.

Where coaches park and wait

  • No coach rules are published. The express car park is free for the first 10 minutes.

Road time into the city

  • about 10 km by road to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, in the centre of Valencia, about 15 min by coach in light traffic; longer at peak times

Fairs, congresses and the port

Feria Valencia is in Benimàmet, near the airport road, the CV-35: a fair group can be at the halls without crossing the centre. The Palau de Congressos de València is on the Avinguda de les Corts Valencianes, north-west of the centre. The cruise terminal is about 18 km from the airport, around 30 minutes.

Fallas week

Las Fallas run from 1 to 19 March 2027, and large parts of the centre close to traffic. No coach plan is published for the festival. If the group arrives that month, book a hotel the coach can reach and expect to walk the last stretch. The Ofrenda, on 17 and 18 March, is the busiest part of the festival.

What organisers ask us

Where does the coach meet us at Valencia Airport?

Aena publishes no coach stop. The operator fixes the stopping place when you book, and you tell the group which building exit to use.

Can we go straight to the Albufera?

Yes. El Palmar is about 8 km from central Valencia, around 15 minutes, so it fits easily into an arrival day.

Is Alicante airport an option for Valencia?

It is far: Alicante is about 177 km from Valencia. Fly into Valencia when you can.
