Jerez Airport coaches for Jerez, Cádiz and the bay
Jerez is the airport for Cádiz and its bay. It is small, it has a coach park beside the terminal, and its roads lead to two very different set-downs: the open streets of Jerez and the tight old town of Cádiz.
The coach park next to the terminal
The tourist-coach park is reached from the Arrivals level and sits beside the terminal, with management and security staff. A first period is free; longer stays are charged. Since it is so close, the walk is short, and the driver can wait there through a modest delay. Agree with the operator where the group meets the driver, and tell the group the coach is next door so nobody heads for the taxi rank.

Jerez or Cádiz
The Plaza del Arenal in Jerez is about 14 km away, around 25 minutes. Cádiz cathedral is about 44 km, around 55 minutes. Cádiz's low-emission zone covers the old town and part of the Paseo Marítimo, and its trial period ends around late November 2026. From 2027 only ECO or zero-emission vehicles from outside Cádiz may enter. How tourist coaches are treated has not been confirmed, so the operator checks the coach booked.
Old Cádiz has no published coach stops either. The operator confirms the stop with the city when booking.
Where the group boards the coach
- The airport has a tourist-coach park (Parking de autobuses turísticos), reached from the Arrivals level, next to the terminal. It has management and security staff. Agree with the operator where the group meets the driver.
Where coaches park and wait
- The coach park is free for the first hour; longer stays are charged. Cars use the general car parks P1 and P2 in front of the terminal.
Road time into the city
- about 14 km by road to the Plaza del Arenal, in the centre of Jerez de la Frontera, and about 44 km to the cathedral, in the centre of Cádiz, about 25 min by coach to Jerez and about 55 min to Cádiz in light traffic; longer at peak times
Race weekends
The Circuito de Jerez hosts world-championship motorcycle racing. On those weekends roads, hotels and coach parking around Jerez are under heavy demand. Book early, check the race calendar before fixing dates, and allow extra time on every run.
Around the bay and beyond
El Puerto de Santa María, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Arcos de la Frontera and Vejer are all short drives from Cádiz, and Jerez itself is about 31 km away, around 35 minutes. Seville is about 92 km from the airport, around 1 h 35 min. For a group touring Andalusia, landing at Jerez and leaving from Seville avoids driving back.
What organisers ask us
Is there a train from Jerez Airport?
Yes. The airport station is on Cercanías line C-1: about 9 minutes to Jerez and 57 to Cádiz. With luggage, a coach is usually easier.
Can a coach enter old Cádiz in 2027?
The rule for tourist coaches is not confirmed. From 2027 non-local vehicles need the ECO or zero-emission label, and the operator checks the coach.
Does the coach have to wait outside the airport?
No. It can use the tourist-coach park beside the terminal; longer stays are charged.
